This article explores Islamic elements in Azra Asghar’s novels. It finds that Azra Asghar portrayed the post-establishment Islamic civilization of Pakistan, which was associated with a strong family system. She presented the features of respect for humanity, the sanctity of blood relations and family decency in her stories. That’s why the characters of her novels have such eternal qualities as empathy, tolerance, patience and faith. In her novels, she has frequently quoted Quran, Ḥadīth and sayings of ʻAlī etc.
