Abstract

Institute for the secularization of Islamic Society is an American organization of the writers which aims to infuse the values of secularism, democracy and human rights in Islamic Society. Ibn Warrāq is the founding father of the organization. Other members are from different walks of life but the commonality among them is that all of them are free thinkers and critics of Islamic Society. The present article provides an overview of the basic principles of the organization and the brief introduction of Ibn Warrāq’s life and works. The objective of this article is to acquaint the Muslims in general and the students and scholars of the Islamic Studies in particular from such organized efforts against Islam.
