Abstract

Status of Hadīth al-Mursal is an important topic related to the authenticity of Ḥadīṭh studies. It is the base of many disputable maters of Islamic law.  It falls to category of weak hadīth according to some scholars rather it is stronger than the “Musnad” according to some scholars, another opinion is that it might be used under certain conditions. So, it was necessary to study the opinions of the scholars about it. It lacks a basic condition of authenticity, which is the interruption of the chain of transmission. Purpose of this article is to discover the strong and right opinion based on arguments and to find the view of the Muhaddithīn (scholars of Hadīth) and the jurist (fuqahā) so that the people understand the real status of Hadith al-Mursal.
