Abstract

In most Islamic countries, including Pakistan, the education system consists of two types. One of them is purely religious education system which is also called syllabus of Islamic schools and its competitors are modern and modern teaching institutions. The history of religious schools in Pakistan is very old. Dars Nizami has been given much importance in the syllabus of religious institutions. Madrassas have had far-reaching effects. Students of religious schools have a very important role to play in the propagation of Islam. While the students of religious schools have played an important role in the promotion of Urdu, they have also developed the Arabic language. Students of religious schools have played a leading role in political and social movements in the history of subcontinent. Today, Islamic religious schools are facing many challenges. One of them is the issue of curriculum change and on the other hand, there are also economic problems of students. The allegation of the extremism and jihadi education is huge challenge for the future generation. The Islamophobia after 9/11 is emerging problem. This article examines the positive and negative effects and role of Islamic students.
