A good relationship with the family is a symbol of the beauty of an individual's personality on the one hand and a guarantee of a good social life on the other. This article discusses the Prophet's relationship with his family. It explains how he maintained good and ideal relationships with his parents, wives and children. Despite engagements in Prophetic responsibilities, the Prophet (ﷺ) never let his family life to suffer. Being orphan by birth, Prophet Muhammad showed great deal of affection to his mother and grandfather. After their sad demise, his relationship with his uncle Abū Tālib and his family is consummate. Similarly, his association with his wife Khadīja is exemplary. So are his ties with later wives. There is a lesson for Muslims in referred attitude of the Prophet (ﷺ) towards his family that they should follow the example of the Prophet and make their family system ideal so that a good family and society can be formed.
