Publication Fees and Charges

No Fees for Authors

Al-Qamar does not charge authors for submitting, processing, reviewing, editing, formatting, or publishing manuscripts.

The journal does not charge:

  • A submission fee
  • A manuscript processing fee
  • An article processing charge
  • A peer-review fee
  • A copyediting or formatting fee
  • A publication fee
  • A DOI-related fee
  • A fast-track or priority publication fee

Authors are not required to make any payment at the time of submission, during peer review, after acceptance, or before publication.

Publication in Al-Qamar is currently free of cost for all authors, including Pakistani and international authors.

Editorial Independence

The absence of publication charges does not affect the journal’s editorial standards or selection process.

Editorial decisions are based on relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, academic merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, peer-review reports, authors’ responses to revision requirements, and final editorial assessment.

Acceptance or rejection is never based on payment, personal connection, institutional pressure, or any other non-academic consideration.

No Reader Charges

Al-Qamar is an open-access journal. Readers, researchers, students, teachers, libraries, and institutions are not charged for accessing published content.

Published articles are available online without subscription or access charges.

The journal and its publishing institution currently bear the administrative and technical costs associated with:

  • Editorial administration
  • Manuscript management
  • Peer-review coordination
  • OJS website maintenance
  • Copyediting
  • Formatting and layout
  • Proof preparation
  • Metadata preparation
  • DOI and article-record preparation, where applicable
  • Digital preservation and archiving
  • Online publication

Authors are not charged for these services.

License and Access

Articles published in Al-Qamar are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits use, sharing, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation in any medium, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors and the source of publication.

Transparency Statement

Al-Qamar is committed to maintaining clear and transparent information about its publication policies.

The journal currently operates without submission fees or publication charges. Any future change to this policy must be formally approved and clearly published on this page and consistently reflected in the Author Guidelines, Submission Guidelines, and all other relevant journal pages.

Old, outdated, cached, or conflicting fee statements must not remain publicly accessible on the website.
