Policy Update: Al-Qamar Discontinues All Submission and Publication Charges

Al-Qamar has revised its publication fee policy. With effect from 15 July 2026, the journal will not charge authors any submission, processing, or publication fee.

Manuscript submission and publication will be free of cost for both Pakistani and international authors. No payment will be required at any stage of the editorial or publication process, including submission, peer review, revision, acceptance, copyediting, formatting, DOI registration, and online publication.

This policy change does not affect the journal’s editorial standards or peer-review procedures. All manuscripts will continue to be evaluated according to their relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, peer-review reports, and editorial assessment.

Editorial decisions will remain independent of financial, personal, institutional, or other non-academic considerations.

Authors should not make any payment to an editor, reviewer, representative, or third party claiming to collect a fee on behalf of Al-Qamar. Any such request should be reported to the journal for verification.
