Abstract

The art of translation certainly had its origin in the day when people of two different nations needed to communicate to settle mutual relations and trade and only then did interpreters become indispensable. Basically, translation is the need of every nation and language in which the consciousness of the demand for knowledge has awakened. This is the reason why in every period of civilized life the seekers of knowledge went through the stage of translation to enjoy the treasures of knowledge and wisdom of other nations. The stages of translation were not only determined by the demanding knowledge, but those interested in the literature of other languages also benefited from the blessings of translation. Naseem Baloch is an emerging modern translator. His first fiction which he translated was "Dash Akal" which was published in the literary edition of daily "Azad", Lahore in 1978.
