The research paper “An Applied Study of Justice and Equality in the Verses of the Inheritance”, explores the dimensions of justice and equality in the Qur’ānic verses of inheritance, particularly those found in Sūrat al-Nisāʾ. Through an analytical examination of relevant Qur’ānic texts and Prophetic traditions, it demonstrates that the Islamic law of inheritance is founded upon principles of fairness, rights protection, and social welfare. The research highlights how the Qur’ān establishes a balanced system by assigning fixed shares to heirs, safeguarding the rights of women and vulnerable family members, preventing economic exploitation, and promoting family cohesion. It further argues that differences in inheritance shares are based on responsibilities and legal obligations rather than discrimination, reflecting a broader concept of distributive justice. The study concludes that the Qur’ānic inheritance framework serves as a comprehensive model for achieving legal, economic, and social justice while fulfilling the higher objectives of Sharīʿah.
