Abstract

Study of the Family and relatives of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) has been an important subject of study in Sīra writings. Amongst the modern day biographers of the Prophet (ﷺ), an Indian scholar Dr. Yāsīn Maẓhar Ṣiddīqī has done a valuable work in the mentioned area. This article offers an introductory study of some of his writings on the family and relatives of the Prophet (ﷺ). It argues that Dr. Ṣiddīqī’s research on the subject presents authentic and accurate information on the relevant personalities. He has provided wonderful insights to the seekers of guidance from the lives and characters of the people related to the Sīra of the Prophet and true evidences and facts to the researchers of the area.
