Abstract

United Nations has adopted number of declarations of Fundamental Rights. This article studies the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Persons belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities adopted by General Assembly resolution 47/135 of 18 December 1992 from Islamic perspective. Comparing the rights of minorities between Islam and the UN Declaration, it says that the mentioned Declaration on is the result of a continuous and long struggle, whereas Islam from the very beginning reserved all such minorities rights without any adventure or effort.
