Abstract

Religion has always played an important role in human life. It has been a source of physical comfort and spiritual elevation. Its impacts and fruits have been felt and recognized by intellectuals and researchers. This article discussing the meaning and historical perspective of religion, highlights its role in human life. It explores that this is the religion that guarantees peace and beauty in the individual and social life of human beings. It also reveals the significance of religion from Islamic perspective. Islam is of the view that it is the last religion chosen by Allah Almighty. It proclaims that whoever seeks refuge in Islam and truly follows its teachings, it will make him successful in this world and in the Hereafter.
